Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use m’kay, the service at mkay.ai and app.mkay.ai that lets you talk to the AI agent apps on your own Mac. It is operated by SaltedMango, Inc. (“we”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. Questions: max@mkay.ai.
1. The service
m’kay listens to you, decides what to do with an AI language model, and operates the Claude, ChatGPT/Codex and Cursor apps on a Mac you linked, through a connector you run on that Mac. The service is new: features may change, it may be unavailable at times, and we may change or end it.
2. Your account
Give accurate information, keep your sign-in secure, and use one account per person. You are responsible for what happens through your account and your linked Macs. Tell us at max@mkay.ai if you think someone else is using them, and unlink any Mac you no longer control.
3. Credits
A voice session uses one credit for each minute it runs, started minutes included. New accounts receive free credits. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and may change or expire as the service changes. If we offer paid credits or plans, their price and terms will be shown before you buy.
4. Your Mac, your apps, your instructions
- The service acts on your Mac only for your account, through apps you already use. You must be allowed to use those apps this way, and you remain bound by their own terms; m’kay is not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI or Anysphere (Cursor).
- Speech recognition and AI models make mistakes: they can mishear you, misread an app, or summarize wrongly. Before anything is sent to an agent, m’kay reads it back and sends it only after you confirm. Listen to the read-back; what you confirm is your instruction, and you are responsible for it and for what the agents then do.
- Do not rely on m’kay where a mistake could cause harm, such as for safety, medical, legal or financial decisions.
- Keep backups and review agents’ work as you would without m’kay.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use m’kay to break the law or anyone’s rights; to access a Mac, account or data that is not yours; to interfere with, overload or probe the service beyond normal use; to get around credit limits (for example with multiple accounts); or to resell the service without our permission.
6. Open-source parts
The connector and the local voice client are open source under the license in their repository (github.com/maxipesfix/mkay), which governs your use of that code.
7. Ending
You can stop using m’kay at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or others at risk, and we will tell you when we reasonably can.
8. No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or work, arising from your use of the service, including actions taken on your Mac or by agents after your confirmation. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim (zero while credits are free). Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that cannot be limited.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post changes here and update the date above; for significant changes we will also tell you by email. Using the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
